Travel Posters
These travel posters began with photographs I took while traveling through different places with my Canon AE-1 and were redesigned to resemble the promotional posters once found in travel agencies. I added flying saucers and short commands—ENTER, ARRIVE, WORSHIP—in an attempt to make advertisements from an alternate world. The UFOs are deliberately absurd, but they also function as interruptions: devices for making an ordinary street, temple or landscape strange.
